Pivot Tables have been a feature of Excel for many years, now we'll show you how to use PowerPivot to simplify the process of getting the data into the "right shape" to pivot, as well as harnessing the power of DAX to gain deeper insights into you data.

If you spend a lot of time manipulating data in Excel in order to build a Pivot Table, including things like Lookup functions to mash data together, performance calculations, or time dependent calculations, then PowerPivot and DAX measures can help streamline the process. Simple reusable measures in Power Pivot can help gain extra insights into your data, which you can then output to a familiar Pivot Table report or dashboard.
