In-demand digital marketing skills

It is widely accepted that we are facing a severe crisis when it comes to the gap between digital skills needed by employers and available talent. Having entered the pandemic with a pre-existing digital skills shortage, the rapid change in behaviour of both consumers and businesses over the last 12 months has led to increased focus and investment in digital channels, resulting in a sharp rise in demand for digital marketing skills.

In the first 6 months of 2021, there was a 63% increase in the number of digital marketing roles posted on LinkedIn. However, a recent report by analytics firm, Acquia, found that around a third of UK businesses were struggling to find the digital marketing skills and talent they needed.

Work-based learning programmes from QA have been designed to help organisations and individuals build the in-demand digital marketing capabilities, both by finding and developing new talent and through the upskilling of existing teams.

Digital marketing skills are crucial in the battleground for customer attention. At QA, we offer work-based learning programmes in digital marketing at Level 3 for entry-level talent and also at Level 6 for experienced practitioners who are looking to progress into the marketing leaders of tomorrow.

“Demand for marketing jobs has grown over the last six months because of the increased importance of marketing during the pandemic.

Digital marketing gives organizations the ability to accurately target audiences, measure impact and get in front of consumers during a time where the average adult is online more than ever."
